Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"They play "Nu, pogodi!" on an old TV. Delicious ice-cream, friendly service. Card payment is possible."
"Very atmospheric place. We only stopped for a couple of drinks on a very hot Saturday afternoon and the staff kindly accommodated us in their beautiful garden area. We had a great time enjoying the drinks and admiring all the unique interior and exterior design elements. Big thanks to the team. We look forward to returning to try the food! The menu looked great."
"The menu and prices suggest its a restaurant, but food presentation was more of a canteen style with two slices of thinly cut bread served with soups and ice-cream cake served on a salad plate, making it somewhat uncomfortable for the kids. We did love the pancakes, cabbage/mushroom filled pastries and the drinks though. In general, if you like novelty and feel nostalgic about the past times - it's a one-time must visit, even if it's only for the atmosphere and experience. The service was great. Considering the place was very busy (we waited 40minutes to be seated), the team was very attentive and food arrived very quickly."
"If I could, I would eat here every day - for lunch and dinner. I first came here 10 years ago and now again, and I can say that the quality has only improved. The food is delicious, fresh and very, very authentic. The decor and atmosphere are incredible. I also liked the service. I hope to come back to Potsdam soon!"
"Delicious Russian dishes in a quaint and colourful, traditional wooden house. The deco is a little kitschy, owing to the heavy folkloric style, but it's very atmospheric and you really feel like you have landed there. Prices are a little high, but table service is excellent and smiley and the location is really beautiful, next to the fruit orchards of Alexandrowka. They have some outside space too for the warm days. Avoid going on Sundays, as it's quite hectic and staff are under pressure."
"Absolutely adorable! Food was delicious, but expensive and long. But it was worth it. Service is incredible, very friendly, very kind. Atmosphere is excellent! They even have an old TV with „Ну Погоди» on it. Adorable!"
"This place serves super tasty, authentic Russian food and is located in a beautiful old county house. The food was great, and the service was decent. I had a delicious stew served in a clay pot, paired with a fantastic piece of bread. They even offered some old-fashioned Russian beer, which was a fun addition. I highly recommend checking this spot out for a unique dining experience!"
"Excellent and original Russian culinary (my wife is Russian is she told me everything was delicious). The atmosphere, although affecting a bit by the kitsch decor, is really good. The service is courteous and efficient, but the hosting at the entrance deserves some improvement."
